Day 1 of our operations from Jordan saw us crossing the border into Syria to delay and destroy a convoy of heavy weapons that were being delivered back across the border into Jordan to assist in destabilising the peace that the west has fought so hard to implement.
F-16’s from our 6(f) Sqn were dispatched with laser guided munitions to deal with the rebel convoy. Supported by our Boys in 2(s) Sqn in their JF-17’s and their FA-18C’s.
Whilst tracing the convoy was initially difficult. The fact they had a support flight of KA-50 helos helped immensely for us to pick them out against the winter desert scene.
